Dear Classmates,
I am saddened to report that Scott Yoakum died on Thursday, December 15, 2011 in his adopted home town of Mobile, Alabama. He moved to Orlando after high school and lived there until his recent move to Mobile. I have no information regarding the cause or manner of his death. The obituary in The Mobile Press Register provides very little information. It indicates that the family will have a private memorial service on a date to be determined.
Scott and I shared many great times back in the day. We often found ourselves on the wrong side of The Powers That Be (Were) at HHS. Scott had a great passion for life. I can hear that silly, taunting laugh, see that mischievous grin, and hear one of those overpowered AMX hot rods as I write these words. Please keep Scott and his family in your thoughts and prayers. His memory lives.

I knew scott better than most everyone. I can remember days as fare back as about 5 years old hanging out with him. I miss the young scott one of my very close friends.I wish things for him had turned out different and he could have hung out with me in out later years.
